Uzma Butte (Community Activist, 2018)

Uzma is an educator and an activist who advocates progressive values and social justice. She advocates for safe neighborhoods, more affordable housing, improved community centers, better parks, effective transit, and balanced growth. She believes in building private-public collaborations , when tackling issues, and wants to bring more transparency and fiscal responsibility to City government. She is currently vice-president of the Kirkland Rotary Club and is on the board of Attain housing to help transition more families towards housing stability.
