ASH-WIN CAN-Survive was established by AmPowering in loving memory of our former Board Director, Ashwin Karuhatty, whose life continues to inspire us. Ashwin faced cancer with extraordinary courage, unwavering determination, and an unbreakable spirit. Even during his own battle, he remained optimistic, compassionate, and committed to helping others. He taught us that strength is not measured by the challenges we face, but by the courage with which we face them.
His legacy reminds us to never give up, to lead with hope, and to stand beside others during life's most difficult moments.
ASH-WIN CAN-Survive supports individuals and families navigating the cancer journey by reducing barriers to care and providing compassionate support beyond medical treatment.

In 2025, through the ASH-WIN CAN-Survive program, AmPowering provided a $5,000 grant to support the chemotherapy treatment of a breast cancer survivor in India who was facing significant financial hardship. This assistance helped ensure she could continue her life-saving treatment without interruption during an incredibly difficult time.
