Resident of City of Redmond, was awarded as AmPowering President Community Service Award for her selfless contributions and volunteer services while working on various COVID 19 relief program throughout the year.
Surekha moved to Seattle 23 years back and live with her loving husband and two teenager children. Her son is 19 years and her daughter is 15 years and engaged with her in all volunteer support.
Surekha has worked for Microsoft for 10 years and then decided to give her time to give back to the community. She loved to help in anyway she can and during this COVID situation, she really felt strong urge to help people in need. She helped team AmPowering by stitching masks, picking and dropping groceries for free distribution and also by cooking meals for homeless people. She is always available to help willingly and with a smile. Surekha used to volunteer in her kids school too and now her purpose in life is to have a meaningful journey ahead.
