Diwali special for several homeless folks

Diwali or festival of lights is one of the most popular festivals in India and celebrated with friends and family with good food and sweets.

This year we made Diwali special for several homeless folks by distributing Indian sweets and chocolates along with meals. It’s good to hear from shelterhomes that they loved all festive treats served to them.

We served to over 100 homes less men in @CFHShelterhome in @CityofBellevue, 50 homeless women in @Helens Way shelter homes in @CityofKirkland and 30 homeless teenagers in @FriendsofYouth in @CityofRedmond.

We are very thankful to our amazing #food #team who cooked for so many folks. Thank you Surekha, Vasu, Harita, Neeru Madan for your support. Dinner boxes for Friends of youth were purchased from @Chef Shalimar.
